The Cavazos brothers set a goal to get their High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) together…..and they obtained that goal.

Here is their story:

Getting my HSED was one of the proudest moments in my life.  It gave me a sense of accomplishment.  Now I can decide my own path, which is something I thought I had lost.  It was a fun experience.  The teachers were great, very kind and willing to take the time to explain everything in the simplest ways.  My brothers and I, now that we have our HSED (they shared the experience with me), are able to advance in our lives.

My experience here at Adult Education was very educational.  Everybody was friendly and very helpful.  I was able to work at my own pace.  There was always a teacher waiting to help me.  For me it was Mrs. Adams.  She was very helpful.  She was always encouraging me and pushing me to do my best.  And because of Mrs. Adams, I am finally able to do Algebra which I was terrible at.  Now, I make it look easy.  If I had to do it all over again I would, because getting my HSED is the greatest thing to happen to me and my future.

I would like to thank all the teachers for all their support, knowledge and the encouragement they have given me to better my future.  THANK YOU!!!

My experience here at Adult Education was and still is a proud moment in my life.  It helped me to have my brothers to support me, as I supported them.  The energy here was so positive and they really cared about my success.  Mrs. Adams was the best.  She really went the extra mile for my brothers and me.  Considering where we were four years ago, I would not have thought I would have gotten my HSED.  We are proving that just because we have been dealt a bad hand to never give up!!  It’s not how you start, it's how you finish.  This is a proud moment in our lives but it’s not the end, it’s just the beginning.  Getting our HSED is like getting keys as it has opened so many doors for us.  So I want to say thank you to the staff and teachers so much for getting us here.
